Use Wordpress to Make Real Money

Wordpress is an excellent tool that will make real money for you. I’ve used it a couple of ways. One is to sell products as an affiliate and another is to put Google Adsense on the blog.

An example of one of my Adsense blogs is Aviator Stuff. That blog actually has an Amazon affiliate link on it as well. However, my intent was to make it primarily an Adsense vehicle.

That blog was started several years ago, before I knew anything about plugins and even much about Wordpress. Because of that I didn’t use a plugin to get the Adsense into the blog. Instead, I wrote the code into the sidebar file. A plugin would have been so much easier.

There are excellent plugins for Adsense out there. I’ll write about them in a future post.

This blog is an example of one that sells product through affiliate links. In the Product Reviews & Other Pages listing you’ll see reviews of products. All of the reviews contain links to the product website. Another example of an affiliate sales blog is an online affiliate store.

Electronics Goody Box is an affiliate store blog. That blog gets a data feed from a big time merchant through a plugin designed and distributed by one of my associates, Eric Busch at Datafeedr. There’s a review of Datafeedr on a page on this blog.

Why is Wordpress such a good tool for internet marketing? Well, aside from the cliche that, “Google likes blogs,” (which it does, by the way, and that will get your money site found by your potential customers) a Wordpress blog is very easy to use.

You need little more than mouse and typing skills to get your blog up and running.
